Even with literacy reaching 74.5% mark in 2011, we dont have reason to celebrate. The Indian education system is degrading in comparison to global standards. Do you feel the need of upgradation?

Education is reaching many and penetrating within India, but being literate is defined as being able to read a write. Where the quality of education is concerned, we are slowly moving behind in the race with International standards. Being a youth-rich country, Education is the key factor that would drive growth for India and its future. Don't we need reforms in place as first steps?

Yes, education is spreading across India right throughout its rural sectors even. This is good, but the real reason behind it is commercial business and that is not so good. Whatever the reasons, the mushrooming of educational outlets shall prove to be beneficial in many ways. Having set on this path India now needs to refurbish the Quality aspects in education. The easiest way to do this according to me is to ‘train the trainers. If Teachers can be taught & trained, the benefit would reach faster to the future generations, who are building blocks for future India. But when we speak of upgrading education, which would not be easy in any way. Upgrading education at this juncture would be like digging the mountain & re-establishing it entirely. On the other hand ‘Training the Teachers’ for the process of teaching would be like making cleaner & more visible paths within the mountain to facilitate the climb.
